It has been an exciting couple first days of school! We are learning and practicing how to follow our classroom routines and rules. We have also been working on our printing, alphabet, French vocabulary, number concepts and much more! Today we had a special assembly for our students. The
Premiere Greg Sellinger, the Minister of Education, and a few other guests came
to our school to film an announcement regarding cap sizing of our schools.
Pictures and video was taken by local news teams of
students who handed in their permission slips. We are excited to see if we will be in the news and newspapers!
Just a few reminders:
-If you still have not handed in your childs' emergency medical information please do so at your earliest convenience.
-We are a "nut free" school. When packing your childs' lunch please ensure that all items are nut free (it should say on the package). Please take the time to make sure snacks are not made in a facility that contains nuts.
-If your child has shoes with laces (especially outdoor shoes) please check at home to see if there is a pair with velcro! At the beginning of Grade 1 most students are unable to tie their shoes or it takes them too long which causes them to miss parts of their recess or classtime.
Thank-you in advance.
Mme P.
