Fuzzy Buddy Day

Today, was Fuzzy Buddy Day. We had fun wearing our pyjamas to school and showing off our stuffies. In the afternoon, we went to the gym and watched The Flying Fantastic Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore.

In the beginning of the story, there was a tornado and it destroyed town! Mr. Lessmore's world became black and white and the people seemed sad.

After the storm, the main character finds a library where the books come to life! One book was ripped so he taped up the page and the book came back to life once he started to read it. It brought his much joy!

Once Mr. Lessmore shares the library books with the people of the town they were happy again. We think the message of the story was that we should take care of books. Also, reading makes us happy and is fun!

Here is the link to the story if you would like to watch it:

Lest We Forget

I hope everyone had a great long weekend! I am glad to hear that many students took the time to find a way to remember. Here are the pantings students made last week inspired by the poem, "In Flander's Field." Students painted their background and then drew their poppies and crosses with oil pastels.

We just started working on portfolios today! The students are very excited to demonstrate their learning and to show off all their hard work!

Also, just a friendly that all December book orders are due this Thursday in order to ensure that you will receive your books before the holidays.
